Borrow A Bin – Rental Agreement & Terms of Service

By using the BorrowABin.com website and/or its services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms shall take effect immediately upon your first use of our services. If you do not accept these terms in full, you may not use Borrow A Bin or any of its services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order or using any services from Borrow A Bin, the customer agrees to comply with and be legally bound by the terms outlined in this agreement. Use of our services constitutes acceptance of these terms.

2. Cleaning Policy

    • A cleaning fee of $0.70 per bin will be assessed for any bins returned exceptionally dirty or wet.

    • A cleaning fee of $0.70 per bin will also be assessed for bins returned with labels that are difficult to remove. Customers are required to use the provided easy-peel labels or equivalent removable labels.

  • The customer is not required to remove the provided labels before return.

3. Customer Responsibility for Equipment

    • The customer acknowledges full care, custody, and control of all equipment from the time of delivery until it is picked up.

    • The customer is responsible for ensuring the equipment is stored securely and used appropriately.

    • Equipment must be stored in a secure, weather-protected location. Borrow A Bin is not responsible for loss or damage to equipment left outdoors, on public property, or in unsecured areas.

    • Borrow A Bin shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or property damage resulting from customer use, misuse, or failure to secure the equipment.

    • If equipment is lost, stolen, or damaged while in the customer’s possession (including damage caused to third-party property), the customer agrees to reimburse Borrow A Bin for the full replacement cost of the equipment, as well as any associated claims, damages, or expenses.

  • In the event of negligence or misuse by the customer that results in additional costs (including but not limited to retrieval, cleaning beyond normal use, or damage to third-party property), the customer shall be held financially responsible.

Replacement Costs:

    • Plastic Moving Bins

      • Medium (M): $25 each

      • Large (L): $30 each

      • Extra Large (XL): $40 each

    • Plastic Wardrobe Boxes: $50 each

    • Dollies

      • Large: $90 each

      • Extra Large: $150 each

  • Dish and Glass Plastic Inserts: $100 each

4. Delivery & Pickup Responsibility

    • Customer is responsible for being present at the scheduled delivery and pickup appointments, or ensuring a safe and secure drop-off/pick-up location is arranged.

    • If a customer is more than 15 minutes late, the drop-off or pick-up may be rescheduled for a $35 fee. If the customer requests the driver to wait longer than 15 minutes, a $25 late fee will apply.

    • The delivery/pickup location must be accessible, safe, and logistically reasonable, including:

      • Accurate address and contact information

      • Building access (e.g., gates, elevators, concierge)

      • No physical obstructions or hazardous conditions

      • Reasonable parking or loading area availability

    • If delivery or pickup cannot be completed due to issues beyond Borrow A Bin’s control, a redelivery/rescheduling fee of $35 may apply.

  • In the event of unattended pick up, the customer is responsible for ensuring the bins are secured and stored in a safe location. Borrow A Bin is not responsible for property damage caused by unsecured bins.

5. Rescheduling & Cancellation

    • Customers must provide at least 24 hours notice to reschedule a delivery or pickup. Failure to do so will result in a $35 rescheduling or cancellation fee.

    • Orders cancelled 24 hours or more before delivery are eligible for a full refund minus a 3% credit card processing fee.

  • Orders cancelled within 24 hours of scheduled delivery will incur a $75 restocking fee.

6. Rental Extensions & Unreturned Equipment

    • If the equipment is kept beyond the contracted rental period, an extension fee will be applied based on the weekly rates listed at the time of the order booking.

  • If Borrow A Bin is unable to reach the customer for 7 days after the contract period has ended, a hold may be placed on the customer’s credit card for the full replacement value of the unreturned equipment.

  • If equipment is not returned during the scheduled pick up and is later found, a $35 pick up fee will be assessed

7. Payment & Authorization

    • The customer agrees to have their credit card information kept on file for the duration of the rental agreement.

  • The customer authorizes Borrow A Bin to charge their card for any fees, damages, or replacement costs as outlined in these terms and conditions.

8. Indemnification

The customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Borrow A Bin, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of the customer’s use, misuse, or failure to secure the equipment.

9. Limitation of Liability

Borrow A Bin’s liability, if any, arising from this agreement or the use of equipment shall not exceed the total rental fees paid by the customer.

10. Governing Law & Venue

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located within Fairfax County, Virginia.

11. Severability

If any provision of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

12. Entire Agreement & No Waiver

This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties. No verbal or written representation outside of this agreement shall be binding. Borrow A Bin’s failure to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of its rights.
